Horse Soldier Bourbon was founded by retired U.S. Army Special Forces veterans and their partners. Several of the founders were among the Green Berets deployed into Afghanistan shortly after September 11, 2001, where U.S. Special Forces famously operated on horsebackāearning the nickname āHorse Soldiers.ā Their story later inspired 12 Strong and is commemorated by Americaās Response Monument near Ground Zero.Ā
The company was founded by John Koko, Elizabeth Pritchard-Koko, Scott Neil, Rob Schaefer, Mark Nutsch, Bob Pennington and Tyler Garner. John Koko currently serves as President and CEO.Ā
